A MEWP is a mobile machine that aims to move people to a working position, with a single, defined position of entry and exit from the platform. It consists of at least one working platform with service parts, an extendable structure and a chassis.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What does the current MEWP legislation indicate for a correct choice?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you begin, it&#8217;s essential to make sure you have the proper training to work safely and legally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>current PEMP legislation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> indicates the choice of the most appropriate work equipment for each situation, with the aim of carrying out the work in the best possible safety conditions: <\/span> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/act.php?id=BOE-A-1995-24292\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Law 31\/1995, on the Prevention of Occupational Risks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Article 15. Principles of preventive action: <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;e) Take into account the evolution of technology&#8221;. On this point, the Royal Decree establishes the criteria for the choice of the most appropriate work team. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the Ministry of Industry considers that, in the absence of specific regulations for MEWPs, compliance with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.une.org\/encuentra-tu-norma\/busca-tu-norma\/norma?c=N0059096\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNE 58921:2017 standard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  &#8220;Instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, inspections and inspections of mobile elevating platforms for personnel (MEWP)&#8221; is a way of complying with the applicable legislation in this regard.
