Effective teams. How to maximize resources?
It’s no secret that many companies worry about how to motivate their teams because they’re sure this leads to increased production. But how do you do that in labor-intensive industries?
At LIFTISA, we are specialists in height solutions, but always concerned about innovation and focused on continuous improvement, we work with our teams, to grow and improve together. Always with the aim of offering you the best. Not only lifting platforms, but a concrete and specific advisory service for your needs.
While the latest tools, equipment, and technology continue to push productivity to the limit, influential leaders have shown that using concrete motivational strategies can increase productivity even more.
Whether it’s equipment working in construction, industry, machinery rental like LIFTISA, or any other field, where deadlines must be met to stay within a budget and serve the Customer as effectively as possible, productivity is vital to success.
Team component errors, and inefficiencies that are generated internally, are how deadlines are missed, budgets, and costs increase.
However, being a good leader requires more than just looking at the end result. It also requires attention to the overall well-being of your team.
Here are some tips that effective leaders use to motivate their team to do exceptional work efficiently.
Know your teams.
Motivational leaders know what motivates their team. To understand this, you need to take action to get to know your team and you can use that information to motivate them to achieve their goals. Be enthusiastic and creative. Try to make time to have coffee with them, or go out to eat. It is a good way to start getting to know them a little more, and so they can express their proposals or concerns. A leader’s primary goal is to help their team achieve their goals while also striving to achieve yours.
Recognize and appreciate achievements.
One of the easiest, least time-consuming, and most affordable ways to increase your team’s satisfaction and productivity is to recognize and show appreciation for their work. Saying “good job” to a team member who did a job efficiently and effectively, obtaining good results or achieving success in one of their objectives.
People need and want feedback and positive reinforcement for their efforts. While raises and promotions are a huge advantage for deserving team members, monetary rewards aren’t always feasible.
At LIFTISA we support internal promotion, mobility between departments, so that our entire team improves their training and experience in lifting platforms.
Rewards such as bonuses, raises, and freebies are also effective motivational tools. If team members see a teammate being rewarded for going above and beyond what’s required, you can bet that others will want the same.
Set goals and tasks. Communicate clearly and transparently.
Before you start a project, whether it’s working at height, refurbishment, refurbishment, installation or warehouse management projects, the best leaders will inform your team about your tasks and goals. It’s positive to take extra time to discuss these goals before you begin. Ask if they are clear, and check if they are shared by everyone.
A good leader never assumes that people will automatically understand what you want to achieve. The management must be optimally defined with clear objectives, and clearly explain what the consequences are at the business level if they do not achieve the objectives set.
Promote growth within the company.
Do you have a training and continuous improvement program? Do you have career development plans for talented people?
You’ll need to support the efforts of your team members. If the company values the team’s efforts to learn and improve, they will inevitably work harder and better.
To continue improving, learning about the best solutions in elevating platforms, and the options to take your teams to the top, stay connected.
Here we are. Supporting you for whatever you need. If we share, we learn more and better.
