Liftisa in Diagonal Zero. The most effective and safest machines for working at height.

Still don’t know the Diagonal Zero Building Tower? The architect Odile Decq has designed this new tower of flats in Diagonal Mar. A contemporary and vibrant district of Barcelona. A spectacular and modern 28-storey building that draws a new panorama facing the Mediterranean Sea. A real luxury!

This is how the Antares building could be defined, located at number 1 Plaça Llevant, at the beginning of Diagonal Mar and a few steps from the Barcelona International Convention Centre, the Museu Blau and the Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE).

This building is now an urban icon and architectural. In addition, it is a paradigm in the way of building in the present and for the future, not only because of its spectacular and A unique design that marks a distance from previous buildings. But also, for its commitment to sustainability, ecology and self-management of building maintenance.

Always taking into account safety and efficiency at work.

Technical and construction aspects

It is a 28-storey tower with more than 100 m in height.

The panels that make up parapets and balcony roofs are made of HPFRC composite (micro-concrete reinforced with alkaline-resistant glass fibres).

Its manufacture has been done through the process of premix casting in metal molds and stratified polyester to achieve a complex volumetry from a parametric design. Created by the Parisian architecture studio of Odile Decq, author of the project, in which there is not a single repeated panel in the entire building.

The tower, located at number 0 Avenida Diagonal in the sector of the Forum of Cultures in the Catalan capital, has more than 5,000 decontaminating panels that reduce harmful gases (e.g. NOx, VOCs) and organic dirt present in the surroundings of the building.

Liftisa in the construction of the Diagonal Zero tower.

Liftisa has participated in the construction of the Diagonal Cero tower as a supplier of platforms for indoor and outdoor work, offering above all its wide range of machines for work at low heights, to ensure the safety of workers and comply with the regulations required in work at height.

When a construction is being carried out where work at height is required, Liftisa is the solution that provides the widest range of products and specific solutions for work at low heights. We are specialists in always offering the best solution in any work at height. As well as advising our Client on the necessary training, and on the requirements that the machinery must meet regarding revisions and technical inspection.

Working at height includes a series of risks. Risks that could be avoided by permanently eliminating traditional ladders with the use of scaffolding in some cases, or with the use of machines to work indoors, on raised floors and the ability to access through doors and lifts.

For this reason, Liftisa recommends the use of Low Level Access platforms. Working with a low-height access machine versus the ladder access solution has nothing to do with it.

Firstly, with the low-height access machine, we comply with the law that regulates this area, in addition, the operator gains efficiency, safety and eliminates the risk of falling. These machines do not require assembly or disassembly to be used. They also don’t require adjustment time. You just have to place them in the desired place and start using them. They have the ability to work at the right height thoroughly.

In addition, they have space for tools, they have a capacity for 149.7 kg.

Within the machines for low-height work, we find manual machines, such as the LIFTISA Peco or the LIFTISA Eco. Mixed machines, such as the Liftisa Nano or the Power Tower, or self-propelled machines such as the Liftisa Nano SP or the Nano SP Plus.

Training for everyone’s safety

Something fundamental for working at height machinery is training in the use of lifting machinery, one of the most important aspects to consider. The use and operation of lifting machinery is extremely important. The Safety is another of our premises.

At LIFTISA Barcelona we offer monthly courses on scaffolding, forklifts and MEWPs, which is necessary to obtain the Certificate of Use and Handling.

In addition to the face-to-face modality, we also have online training, this is, to be able to do the theoretical part of the course with total freedom of schedules and to carry out after this training, the practical training in our facilities or in-company in the case of being a group of at least 8 people. This practical part lasts 4 hours.

And not only that, at LIFTISA we have all kinds of machinery for work at height and with low noise emission or even silent.
